In a cryptic tweet, former Dancing With The Stars host Tom Bergeron seemingly reveals he is not keen on returning to host the dance competition.

Tom Bergeron Dancing with the Stars

Tom Bergeron looks to have revealed that he might never return as host of Dancing With The Stars. He hosted the hit dance competition for the first 28 seasons it aired on ABC and was one of the reasons fans loved the show. However, he and his co-host Erin Andrews were fired from the show and replaced by television personality/model Tyra Banks. So far, Tyra has hosted the show for two seasons, but there have been many complaints about her hosting style. The 48-year-old businesswoman became a host through the influence of Andrew Llinares, who stepped down as producer after season 30.

Since the last season of the ABC dance competition aired, there have been lots of developments. Aside from the news that the show will be moving to Disney+ going forward, there has been much speculation about other arrangements. For example, reports indicated that Tyra might be replaced as the show's host ahead of season 31. If those reports are accurate, fans might wonder if the streaming service would get Tom Bergeron to return as part of the new demographic.

However, while fans would undoubtedly love to have Tom back on the show, his absence might be irreversible. The 66-year-old game show host took to Twitter recently to share an article that speculated about his return. Tom wrote in his caption, "Recommended Reading: Selected Novels of Thomas Wolfe." Thomas was an American novelist from the early 20th century who had several works on a character who left his small-town home life. Though he sometimes had thoughts of returning, he realized he had dreams elsewhere and couldn't go home.

The books in question include You Can't Go Home Again, Look Homeward, Angel and The Web and the Rock. While Tom's return is unlikely, one thing is sure: the TV host has switched to a new passion in his career. In November 2021, Tom talked about the revival of the game show Tic-Tac-Dough and said they're waiting to get an official greenlight from NBC. He's already filmed some episodes of the game show.

Getting Tom back on Dancing With The Stars will make many of the show's fans glad. It will also help it attain a different demographic of subscribers, which is one of the reasons for moving it to Disney+. However, Tom's recent tweet may mean he is not keen on resuming hosting duties on the dance show. It's unclear who the next host will be, with reports indicating Tyra will step down. In the meantime, fans can only hope for the best with all the uncertainties surrounding their favorite show's return.
