Led by Patrick Stewart as Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek: Picard was originally conceived as a solo series that wouldn't return Picard to the bridge of a Starfleet ship. Rather, Star Trek: Picard explored Jean-Luc's relevance to the galaxy and examined his finer edges. By Star Trek: Picard season 3, however, the series morphed into a full-on TNG reunion show and, unsurprisingly, found its greatest acclaim with critics and fans.
The showrunner for Star Trek: Picard season 1 was Michael Chabon, who crafted an intricate post-TNG story for Jean-Luc that centered on a Romulan conspiracy bent on wiping out synthetic life in the galaxy. Akiva Goldsman and Terry Matalas took over as showrunners of Star Trek: Picard season 2, which plunged Jean-Luc and his motley crew into a time travel adventure, sending them to 21st century Los Angeles to undo a twisted alternate future created by Q (John de Lancie). Picard season 2 also explored Jean-Luc's hidden childhood secrets and answered the question of why he chose never to marry. Patrick Stewart as Admiral Jean-Luc Picard
Admiral Jean-Luc Picard began Star Trek: Picard as bitter and retired, but his spirit is re-energized as he saves the galaxy in all 3 seasons. Picard died in season 1 but was resurrected in a synthetic body, and Jean-Luc learned he is a father in season 3. By the end of Star Trek: Picard, the triumphant Admiral is secure in the knowledge that the stars have always been in his favor. Sir Patrick Stewart has also played Professor X in the X-Men movies, and he starred in Green Room and Blunt Talk.
Jeri Ryan as Commander Seven of Nine
In her post-Star Trek: Voyager life, Seven of Nine began Star Trek: Picard as an outcast who found a new purpose as part of Jean-Luc's motley crew. Seven sparked a relationship with Raffi Musiker (Michelle Hurd), and finally joined Starfleet, becoming First Officer of the USS Titan-A. By the end of Star Trek: Picard season 3, Seven of Nine is Captain of the USS Enterprise-G. Jeri Ryan also starred in Boston Public and Body of Proof.
Michelle Hurd as Commander Raffi Musiker
The tortured and conflicted, but courageous Commander Raffi Musiker was bounced out of Starfleet but regained her sense of duty as part of Jean-Luc Picard's motley crew. After returning to Starfleet, Raffi was recruited into Starfleet Intelligence, and she played a key role in uncovering Picard season 3's Changeling plot alongside Captain Worf (Michael Dorn). At the end of Picard season 3, Raffi is First Officer of the USS Enterprise-G. Michelle Hurd also starred in The Glades, Daredevil, and Ash vs. Evil Dead.
Orla Brady as Laris
A former member of the Romulan Tal Shiar, Laris came to help Jean-Luc Picard run his family vineyard. Laris was married to the late Zhaban (Jamie McShane), but she eventually became Jean-Luc's love interest before leaving Earth in Star Trek: Picard season 3. Irish actress Orla Brady also starred in Doctor Who and American Horror Story: 1984.
Brent Spiner as Data, Lore, B-4, Dr. Altan Inigo Soong & Adam Soong
Brent Spiner played multiple roles in Star Trek: Picard, playing Data at his death in season 1 and resurrecting the heroic android in Picard season 3. Spiner also portrayed Data's android brothers Lore and B-4, all occupying Data's restored body. In addition, Spiner played Dr. Altan Inigo Soong in Picard seasons 1 and 3, and villainous geneticist Adam Soong in Picard season 2. Brent Spiner is also known for his roles in Independence Day, Warehouse 13, and Threshold.

Ed Speleers as Jack Crusher
The son of Jean-Luc Picard and Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), Jack Crusher is a dashing, young rogue who discovers he inherited Borg DNA from his father that would turn him into Vox of Borg. Redeemed by Picard, Jack joined Starfleet and became an Ensign stationed on the USS Enterprise-G. Ed Speleers also played the title role in Eragon and starred in Downton Abbey.
Jonathan Frakes as Captain William T. Riker
Captain Will Riker, formerly of the USS Titan, left retirement with his family on the planet Nepenthe in Star Trek: Picard season 3 to join Jean-Luc Picard on one last mission. Wounded by his fractured marriage and the death of his son, Thad, Riker reconciled with his wife, Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), and played a major role in saving the galaxy from the Borg. A prolific director, Jonathan Frakes starred in Roswell and Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction.
Gates McFadden as Dr. Beverly Crusher
Dr. Beverly Crusher broke away from her USS Enterprise friends after Star Trek: Nemesis, but she returned seeking Jean-Luc Picard's help and revealed Jack Crusher is her son with Picard. Crusher was instrumental in identifying the Borg and Changeling threat in Star Trek: Picard season 3. Dr. Crusher was promoted to Admiral and head of Starfleet Medical at the end. Gates McFadden also appeared in The Hunt for Red October and Franklin & Bash.
Michael Dorn as Captain Worf
As part of Starfleet Intelligence, Captain Worf teamed with Raffi Musiker to identify the Changeling threat to the Federation in Star Trek: Picard season 3, where the older Worf claimed to have embraced pacifism but is as capable a killer as he ever was. As Worf, Star Trek's greatest Klingon character, Michael Dorn has appeared in more Star Trek episodes than any other actor, and he also stars in Castle and The Santa Clause.
LeVar Burton as Commodore Geordi La Forge
Commodore Geordi La Forge oversaw the Fleet Museum on Athan Prime with his daughter, Ensign Alandra La Forge (Mica Burton). Thanks to Geordi lovingly restoring the USS Enterprise-D after it was destroyed in Star Trek Generations, Picard and his crew were able to defeat the Borg one final time. LeVar Burton is legendary for hosting Reading Rainbow and starring in Roots.
Marina Sirtis as Counselor Deanna Troi
Estranged from her husband, Captain Will Riker, Commander and Counselor Deanna Troi was kidnapped by the Changelings but was rescued and joined her former USS Enterprise-D crew mates on the USS Titan-A. Troi's Betazoid psychic powers were instrumental in unlocking Jack Crusher's secret that he was born with Borg DNA. Marina Sirtis also appears in NCIS and The Orville.
Amanda Plummer as Captain Vadic
Captain Vadic was the leader of a rogue faction of Changelings hellbent on destroying the Federation after being tortured by Section 31 during Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's Dominion War. Star Trek: Picard season 3 ultimately reveals Vadic and the Changelings were in league with the Borg. The daughter of the late Christopher Plummer, Amanda Plummer starred in Pulp Fiction and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Todd Stashwick as Captain Liam Shaw
Captain Liam Shaw was the Captain of the USS Titan-A who treated Admiral Picard and Captain Riker with hostility. Shaw's animosity toward Picard was because he was a survivor of the Borg attack on the Federation in the Battle of Wolf 359. Shaw lost his life fighting the Changelings who invaded the Titan, giving Seven of Nine command of his ship in his dying act. Todd Stashwick is best known for his role in 12 Monkeys.
Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut as Ensign Sidney La Forge
Ensign Sidney La Forge was the helmsman of the USS Titan-A. The daughter of Geordi La Forge, Sidney was estranged from her father and struck up a friendship with her First Officer, Seven of Nine. At the end of Star Trek: Picard season 3, Sidney was promoted to Lieutenant and now pilots the USS Enterprise-G. Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut also starred in Cruel Summer and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Mica Burton as Ensign Alandra La Forge
Ensign Alandra La Forge is the youngest daughter of Commodore Geordi La Forge, and followed him into Starfleet as an Engineer. Alandra was stationed at the Fleet Museum on Athan Prime but joined her father and sister, Sidney, on the USS Titan-A to face the Changeling and Borg threat. Mica Burton is LeVar Burton's real-life daughter and appears in web series like Critter Hug and Nights of Eveningstar.
Alice Krige & Jane Edwina Seymour as the Borg Queen
The Borg Queen, who was dying from being poisoned by Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) in Star Trek: Voyager's series finale, made one final attempt to assimilate Starfleet and destroy the Federation before she was destroyed by Admiral Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise-D. Alice Krige, known for Gretel and Hansel and Carnival Row, voiced the Borg Queen while Jane Edwina Seymour played the physical Borg Queen in Star Trek: Picard season 3.

Alison Pill as Dr. Agnes Jurati
Dr. Agnes Jurati was a cyberneticist at the Daystrom Institute who became part of Jean-Luc's motley crew. In Star Trek: Picard season 2, Jurati was assimilated by an alt-reality version of the Borg Queen (Annie Wersching), and became a hybrid Queen leading a new, more benevolent Borg Collective. Alison Pill also starred in The Newsroom and Pillars of the Earth.
Santiago Cabrera as Captain Cristobal Rios
Captain Cristobal Rios was a former Starfleet Commander who left and became Captain of the freighter La Sirena. Rios returned to Starfleet as Captain of the USS Stargazer but after traveling to 2024 Los Angeles, Rios fell in love with Dr. Teresa Ramirez (Sol Rodriguez) and he opted to remain in the 21st century. Santiago Cabrera also starred in Heroes and Merlin.
Penelope Mitchell as Renée Picard
Jean-Luc Picard's 21st century ancestor, Dr. Renee Picard was a NASA pilot who led a historic expedition to Jupiter that had solved the climate change crisis on Earth. Renee was also the focal point Q targeted whose fate could change history. Penelope Mitchell also starred in Hemlock Grove and The Vampire Diaries.
Annie Wersching as the Borg Queen
The Borg Queen in Star Trek: Picard season 2 is the sole survivor of the Borg Collective from the alternate Confederation reality created by Q. The Borg Queen bonded with Dr. Agnes Jurati and became a hybrid Queen and leader of a new Borg Collective. The late Annie Wersching also starred in 24 and Marvel's Runaways.
Whoopi Goldberg as Guinan
Jean-Luc Picard's oldest friend, Guinan is still the proprietor of the Ten Forward bar, located in Los Angeles on Earth. Guinan is always around to lend Picard an ear and tell him what he doesn't want but needs to hear. Whoopi Goldberg is an Academy Award-winning legend who starred in Sister Act and The Color Purple.
Ito Aghayere as Young Guinan
When Jean-Luc Picard time traveled to 2024 Los Angeles, he met the younger version of Guinan. Still running Ten Forward, Guinan was disgusted by humanity and looking to abandon Earth before meeting Picard. Ito Aghayere also stars in Logan Lucky and Carol's Second Act.
Isa Briones as Kore Soong
Kore Soong is the daughter of Dr. Adam Soong, the 21st-century rogue geneticist and patriarch of the Soong dynasty. Kore, who suffers from a rare disease, learns she is a product of genetic engineering. Kore is recruited to join the Travelers by Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton) at the end of Star Trek: Picard season 2. Isa Briones starred in Hamilton and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
Orla Brady as Tallinn
Tallinn is a 21st-century Romulan agent who became a Supervisor, extraterrestrial guardians of Earth's timeline. Tallinn's mission was to safeguard Renee Picard, and she gave her life to ensure Renee completed her pivotal voyage to Jupiter. Orla Brady also portrays Laris in Star Trek: Picard.
John de Lancie as Q
The omnipotent being who has plagued Jean-Luc Picard since Star Trek: The Next Generation's series premiere, Q was dying in Star Trek: Picard season 2, and he instigated an alternate reality crisis to force Picard to face his own buried truths. However, Q returned, seemingly back to full power, at the end of Star Trek: Picard season 3. John de Lancie also appeared in Breaking Bad and Torchwood: Miracle Day.

Isa Briones as Soji, Dahj & Sutra
Star Trek: Picard season 1 began with the assassination of Dahj, the synthetic daughter of the late Commander Data. This spurred Jean-Luc Picard on his mission to protect Dahj's twin sister Soji, who was targeted by the Romulan Zhat Vash. Isa Briones also played Sutra, a golden-skinned and corrupted synthetic on the planet Coppelius. In Star Trek: Picard season 2, Soji became an ambassador for her synthetic people.
Evan Evagora as Elnor
Elnor was the only male member of the Romulan warrior nun sect known as the Qowat Milat, and as a boy, he was partially raised by Admiral Jean-Luc Picard. Elnor binds his sword to Picard's cause and becomes his protector. In Star Trek: Picard season 2, Elnor becomes the first full-blooded Romulan to join Starfleet before he is killed and resurrected by Q. Evan Evagora also appeared in Fantasy Island and Home and Away.
Harry Treadaway as Narek
Narek was a Romulan Zhat Vash agent assigned to the Artifact in order to glean the location of the synthetic homeworld Coppelius from Soji. Narek developed a twisted romantic fascination with Soji, and he was last seen as a prisoner of the Synths at the end of Star Trek: Picard season 1. Harry Treadaway also appears in The Crown and Penny Dreadful.
Peyton List as Narissa/Lt. Rizzo
Narissa was a Romulan deep cover agent and a member of the Zhat Vash. Narissa posed as Starfleet Lieutenant Rizzo, but also oversaw her brother Narek's mission to seduce Soji on the Artifact. Narissa was killed by Seven of Nine at the end of Star Trek: Picard season 1. Peyton List also starred in Mad Men and The Rookie.
Tamlyn Tomita as Commodore Oh/General Nadar
General Nadar was the leader of the Romulan Zhat Vash who spent decades infiltrating Starfleet as Commodore Oh, eventually becoming the Head of Starfleet Security. Oh masterminded the Mars Attack of 2385 and attempted to wipe out all synthetic life from the galaxy. Tamlyn Tomita also stars in The Joy Luck Club and Cobra Kai.
Jonathan del Arco as Hugh
Hugh was a Borg Drone reclaimed by the USS Enterprise-D in Star Trek: The Next Generation. In Star Trek: Picard season 1, Hugh was the head of the Borg Reclamation Project on the Artifact before he is murdered by Narissa. Jonathan Del Arco also starred in The Closer and Major Crimes.
Lulu Wilson as Kestra Troi-Riker
Kestra Troi-Riker is the daughter of Captain Will Riker and Counselor Deanna Troi, and lived on the planet Nepenthe with them in Star Trek: Picard season 1. Kestra is implied to be attending Starfleet Academy in Star Trek: Picard season 3. Lulu Wilson also stars in The Haunting of Hill House and Annabelle: Creation.
