Bret Michaels was looking for someone to rock his world on Rock of Love, but what happened to the cast of season one after they were sent home?
VH1's reality TV show Rock of Love season 1 aired in the summer of 2007 during VH1's era of "Celebreality" branding. Like the celebrity dating shows before it, Rock of Love included surprise eliminations, physical challenges, and a lot of drama. The Bachelor-style dating contest followed 25 women as they competed to win the heart of Poison frontman Bret Michaels. The wild Rock of Love went on to air for three seasons.
Despite being on the show for one season, several contestants achieved a level of notoriety remembered to this day, and some used the show as a launching pad for their careers. However, others have let their 15 minutes of fame pass and have moved on to live outside the spotlight. Here's what the ladies of Rock of Love are up to today.
Jes Rickleff
Jes Rickleff entered the Rock of Love house as a 23-year-old hairstylist and left as Brett's girlfriend. Jes fought with Lacey Conner (now Sculls) and was pushed into a pool. The relationship ended when Jes broke it off with Michaels during the reunion. Since then, Jes has disappeared from the public eye. She has no confirmed social media presence and has not done any interviews or publicity regarding the show.
Heather Chadwell
Heather was known for her big '80s rockstar hair and getting Bret's name tattooed on her neck. She was deemed one of the most intimidating women in the house and would do anything to stay in front of the competition. After Rock of Love, Heather continued on reality television, appearing on the VH1 competition show I Love Money and Charm School. Heather has settled in Southern California as a luxury realtor. Her Instagram shows the properties she is currently selling. Heather also does some modeling and life coaching.
Lacey Conner (Sculls)
Lacey Conner was the villain of Rock of Love season 1. Lacey was one of the more combative personalities on the show but still connected with Brett. After finishing third on the show, Lacey had a successful music career. She now hosts the Talk of Love podcast, where she interviews other contestants of reality dating shows that people have forgotten about. Lacey looks back on her time on the show in a positive light and has continued her love of animals by opening an animal rescue.
Samantha Weisburg
Samantha Weisburg instantly connected with Bret on the show over their love of music and tattoos. Samantha was one of the more introverted girls and kept herself secluded from the other girls who liked to party in the house. Samantha struggled with the reality of the lives of musicians, and it put a wedge between her and Bret. According to her Instagram, Samantha has become an English teacher and writer since leaving the show. She uses her platform to share her poetry and encourage social change. She has remained out of the public eye since her time in Rock of Love.
Mia Tidwell
Mia Tidwell was one of the "good girls" on the show. She often excluded herself from the wild parties the other women started in the house. Mia was kept on the show despite her more reserved approach to the competition until episode 7. Mia has distanced herself from Rock of Love days but has extended her 15 minutes of fame. Today, Mia hosts HGTV's Hot Properties: San Diego. She enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her niece.
Erin Shattuck (Hauer)
Erin Shattuck was an instant target for the other women in the house after revealing she was engaged before the show. Erin was attacked for her looks on the front and fought with Brandi C. at the beginning of the season. Erin has no social media presence besides an old MySpace account showing her pregnancy. She's allegedly a real estate agent, but little else is known about where Erin is now, and there are almost no pictures of her online.
Brandi Cunningham
Brandi Cunningham, also known as Briandi C., came into the house to win Bret's heart, and she would do anything to earn his attention and cement herself as a notorious villain on the show. Brandi wasn't afraid to insert herself into conversations with Bret and get her alone time with him. Brandi kept herself on reality television with appearances on I Love Money, Charm School, and Megan Wants A Millionaire.
Rodeo Steele
Rodeo Steele was a strong front-runner to win the whole competition from the first episode. She and Bret connected over their children and their struggles with health. Since her time on the show, Rodeo has gone on to marry. She has several businesses, including a motor condo company and an interior design firm, and works as a realtor. Rodeo hasn't given up her cowgirl style and still wears her signature cowgirl hat.
Dallas Harrison
Dallas Harrison wasn't afraid to instigate other contestants into a fight. She had an infamous battle with Lacey, where she dressed in every animal print and product she could find to make fun of Lacey's veganism. Dallas only got a little screen time and was focused on fighting with the other girls. Today, she sells vintage clothes and uses social media to inspire social change. She has not done any more work on television.
Kristia Krueger (Meyer)
Kristia Krueger was one-half of the Barbie Twins in the house. She was a part of the "bad girl" group and became friends with Brandi C. Kristia was one of the girls who only connected with Bret briefly and was sent home early in the competition. After the show, Kristia went on to marry and ditched her rocker girl look. She works as a model, wedding videographer, and photographer.
