Sister Wives patriarch Kody Brown is known for being the father of 18 kids. Find out how his older kids are making their way out in the world.
On Sister Wives, many of the older Brown children are no longer being featured, and fans of the popular TLC series want to know how they are earning a living. While some kids who grow up in reality TV families go on to carve out their own niches in the entertainment sector, it may surprise audiences to learn that none of the twelve Brown children who are now considered legal adults have chosen careers in the spotlight.
While some of the children are still young, many of the older Brown siblings are now living outside their families of origin, leading their own lives. Of the 18 total siblings, nearly a dozen Brown siblings are adults, all having taken vastly different paths. However, there is something that these famous Sister Wives children have in common. It's the fact that they all have the apparent desire to build successful careers away from the reality television world. A lot of fans respect their initiative and independence. In addition to their desire to avoid the limelight, another surprising commonality between the famous polygamist family's children is that they all seem to be doing well. Despite the odds, all twelve of the Brown children who have left the nest are clearly succeeding in their individual endeavors, including some who may have had a few struggles along the way.
Kody & Meri’s Child, Leon Brown
It is clear that Leon Brown, who is the only child of Kody and Meri, has a gift for nurturing. They currently hold two jobs in helping professions. They are a program manager at Promise South Salt Lake, which provides free after-school programming that focuses on homework help, tutoring, and enrichment activities, such as college and career prep. Leon also works as a recreational assistant at a veteran's home in Salt Lake.
Kody & Janelle's Kids
Logan Brown, the oldest child in the Brown family, prefers to stay out of the limelight these days. Instead of chasing fame, he makes his living at a start-up company in Nevada, where he is a community development manager. He helps local businesses to thrive in their communities. Maddie Brown Brush, the second-oldest child of Kody and Janelle Brown, attended Utah State University, but dropped out after her first year.
Since the birth of her daughter Evangalynn in 2019, Maddie has been a stay-at-home-mother. Due to complications from a rare disorder, Evangalynn was born without several fingers, toes, and leg bones. Maddie now uses her fame to raise awareness, and she's made inroads in this area by advocating for children with limb differences.
In the spring of 2021, Hunter Brown graduated with a degree in Biology from the Air Force Academy. This past fall, he enrolled in the graduate nursing program at Johns Hopkins University. He plans to become a registered nurse. Another Brown son, Garrison Brown, opened his own shop, Bob’s Floral, in 2019. He now earns money by selling tropical-themed shirts, summery printed dresses, and colorful swimwear.
Kody & Christine's Children
Kody and Christine's oldest daughter Aspyn Brown Thompson works as a store manager at Kendra Scott, a fine jewelry boutique. While attending Las Vegas University, Aspyn began volunteering with fundraisers for Autism Speaks, where she continues to donate her time today.
Mykelti Brown Padron used the design internship that she completed while attending UNLV as a springboard to launch her own fashion-based business, Mykelti’s Whimsical Boutique, which is affiliated with LuLaRoe. She also offers personal video messages that fans can purchase (and send to friends and family) for $10.
Paedon Brown joined the National Guard, and graduated from boot camp in April 2019. Several of the Brown children chose to enlist in the military after high school. However, Paedon is currently the only sibling earning a living as a part of the Armed Forces. He is proudly serving in the U.S. Army. Right now, Kody and Christine's daughters Ysabel and Gwendlyn are both attending college. Ysabel attends East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, while Gwendlyn appears to be attending Northern Arizona University. Gwendlyn recently got engaged to her partner, Beatriz Queiroz.
Robyn's Son Dayton Brown
So far, Kody and Robyn only have two children who have left the Sister Wives nest in order to attend college. Dayton Brown is a student at Northern Arizona University, where he triple majors in marketing, information systems management, and management. Aurora Brown attends Northern Arizona University. However, she does not appear to have declared a major at this time.
